It is made of two brands: A and B.
Grade A - for the manufacture of all types of industrial explosives.
Grade B - for the manufacture of all types of industrial explosives, except safety and nitroester-containing.
During transportation: transportation of all types of transport, except civil aviation, is allowed in accordance with the rules of transportation of dangerous goods in force on this type of transport (GOST 19433-88). According to the degree of danger during storage and transportation, TNT belongs to Class 1, division 1.1, group D. The UN number is 0209. The number of the emergency card containing safety measures in case of emergency situations on railway transport is 111, on automobile transport - 1. The code of emergency measures applicable to the transportation of TNT by road is 24E.
When transporting across the territory of the Russian Federation, except for transportation to the Far North and hard-to-reach areas, TNT is packed:
- in five-six-layer paper bags according to GOST 2226, enclosed in polypropylene bags or propylene bags with a polyethylene liner;
- in double (nested one into another) five-six-layer paper bags according to GOST 2226.
When transported to the Far North and to hard-to-reach areas, TNT is packed in a five-six-layer paper bag according to GOST 2226, enclosed in a fiberboard box.
When transported by rail or by road in direct communication (without transshipment points to the destination), TNT is packed in a polyethylene bag M50x100 according to TS 2297-001-51441875-00 (or in a polyethylene bag of other manufacturers according to other regulatory documentation with strength characteristics not lower than that of the bag according to TS 2297-001-51441875-00), having the designation 5H1 according to GOST 26319-84, with internal with a plastic bag liner MV-0.060 according to TS 2297-002-16914920-00.
The nominal weight of TNT in the bag should be no more than 40 kg.
The warranty period of storage of TNT grade A is 4 years, grade B is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
